Let’s put together the biggest block of Glassmen supporters ever!
Even if your child has been “adopted” by another Corps, buy your Championship tickets from Glassmen – remember, every ticket returns a percentage to the Glassmen! THE LIGHT STILL SHINES for the Glassmen of 2014 – let’s show everybody that we believe in the future of the Glassmen!
Attached to this message is an order form that will print 3 copies of the order form. Cut them apart and share them with your friends or families. (Request Order Form by email to:

We need to bring together as many people as possible to support our kids wherever they are marching, and to let everybody know that the Glassmen Spirit still shines!

ALL STAR REVIEW VOLUNTEERS:
ALL STAR REVIEW
Sunday, June 23, 2013
Doyt-Perry Stadium, BGSU
Bowling Green, OH
We will need a lot of volunteers to make this show a success. It is currently our biggest source of potential income, which we will need to get the Glassmen back on the road in 2014. If we want to keep this show as OUR funding source, we need to show that we can make it even better than last year!
If you have volunteered in the past, and would like to volunteer again this year, LET ME KNOW!
If you haven’t volunteered for this event before, and want more information, LET ME KNOW!
We will need over 60 volunteers to make this our best show ever
In addition to support staff for the Show itself, we will need help with the VIP tent, where special tickets include a meal. We will also be trying a new venture – the All Star Review Craft Sale! See below for more details.
ALL STAR REVIEW – CRAFT SHOW & SALE:
ASR Craft Show & Sale
Sunday, June 23, 2013
12:30 – 7:30 pm
adjacent to Doyt-Perry Stadium
I will be in charge of this new event! I hope to have space for 22 booths under a large tent. Crafters from all over will rent the majority, but at least one, possibly two, booths will be selling handcrafted items donated and /or created by Glassmen crafters. If you would like to donate your own handcrafted items to be sold at the Glassmen booths, LET ME KNOW! If you are interested in renting a both, or you know of a crafter who might be interested, watch for the Booth Rental Flyer by the end of the month.

CELEBRITY WAIT:
Celebrity Wait
Thursday, May 30, 2013
6:00 – 10:00pm
Brandywine Country Club
Maumee, OH
Tickets will be $50.00 per person, or a full table of 10 can be reserved for $500.00.
We are still asking for donations for Silent Auction Baskets. Popular baskets in the past have included tickets for sports, theater, or music events in and around Toledo. Hand-made items have been donated as well as spa packages, garden themed items, and baskets that appealed to children (grandparents especially like to bid on these!) If you know of a business or individual who has donated to an event in your area, Janet Ankenbrandt can provide a “Donation Request letter to give them.
The “Red Raffle Table” will return again this year. We are looking for one or more contacts to help create our “sweets & treats” baskets. The table will have several of these similar baskets, except for the one containing the “Golden Ticket Prize”! This year’s prize will be All Star Review VIP tickets! If you have a suggestion for a donor, get the information to us as soon as possible.
WATCH FOR THE TICKET ORDER FORM IN THE MAIL SOON!
TWYLITE THURSDAY:
Twylite Thursday
Thursday, June 20, 2013
The Pinnacle
1772 Indian Wood Circle
Maumee, OH
Tickets are $10.00, which will benefit the Glassmen. The ticket includes samples of entrees, salads, and desserts offered by the catering staff of the Pinnacle. A Cash Bar will offer a variety of beverages including pop, beer, wine, and spirits. All the groups participating in the evening – Toledo School for the Arts, Habitat For Humanity, Scraps 4Art, and the Glassmen, will provide entertainment. The Glassmen Alumni Association Alumni Corps will play a selection of songs from our past shows. There might also be a surprise performance by a new group associated with the Glassmen! We will also be part of the 50-50 Raffle, and have a number of donated items to auction and raffle during the evening. We would like to offer our Gift Card Tree and the (scratch-off) Lottery Ticket Tree again – they were very popular!
PLEASE JOIN US, IF YOU CAN!
BASKET COLLECTION REPORT:
This section will feature all those who have already offered a donation for one of our events! This edition of the report features:
Holly Edwards – Holly’s donation of massage gift certificates from Simple Tranquility Therapeutic Massage has already arrived! She was also able to arrange a donation of a massage gift certificate from Ann Mallet at Exhale Body and Soul in Defiance! THANK YOU!
Kelsey Franklin – Kelsey is the first to offer to make knitted items for the ASR Craft Show & Sale! She also has an idea for some pins to make. THANK YOU!
We would like to have as many donations recorded as possible by March 31, 2013. At that time, we will give a complete report of what has been donated or promised, and what we still need.
MAIL DONATIONS TO: Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps
P.O. Box 352080
Toledo, OH 43635
THESE DO NOT HAVE TO BE PERSONAL DONATIONS!
If you know of a business or individual who has donated to events in your area, Janet has a “Donation Request” letter you can give them. All donors will be acknowledged in the programs for the events, as well as on the donation.
Gift Cards and Scratch-off Lottery tickets are very popular items for baskets and raffles. Gift cards to craft stores would be helpful when the local Glassmen crafters get started on the G-man crafts! Watch for dates for those get-togethers!
REMEMBER! LOOK AROUND FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO GET OTHERS INVOLVED AND AWARE OF THE GLASSMEN!
