The GLASSMEN provide opportunities that promote and develop life skills and personal enrichment through education, participation and performance.
Organization
ORGANIZATION
The GLASSMEN is an Ohio non-profit youth organization. Funding for the group comes from summer performances, special events, bingo operations, individual donors, and several other projects headed up by the corps.
Facilities
GLASSMEN OFFICE
In the fall of 2006, the GLASSMEN Headquarters office moved into a building on West Wayne Street in historic downtown Maumee, Ohio. This is the neighboring city of Toledo that fostered the corps' very beginnings in 1961 as the Maumee Suns.
Personnel
MEMBERS
The GLASSMEN organization is devoted to the education of all the young people it touches, both members and fans.
Publicity
The drum corps activity has been recognized around the world for its outstanding promotion of leadership and teamwork, and its uniqueness of spectacle and entertainment.
Schedule
SCHEDULE
The GLASSMEN drum corps season begins around Thanksgiving every year when the organization holds their annual orientation and audition camp.
