Melodies on the Maumee!

There will be Melodies on the Maumee, as the GLASSMEN join forces with the Perrysburg Symphony!

On Saturday - June 2, 2012, the GLASSMEN will perform in a very special concert at historic Fort Meigs along the Maumee River.  In commemoration of the start of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, Melodies on the Maumee will feature both the GLASSMEN Drum & Bugle Corps and the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra, and will include a very special grand finale as both groups join together for the explosive '1812 Overture'.

 

 

The concert begins at 5:30pm, and is 'picnic' style.  Please bring lawn chairs, blankets, and your picnic supper, and sit back and enjoy the music.  In addition to the evening's concert, there will be hands on activities and demonstrations throughout the day from the 1812 soldiers (in period uniforms), and by members of the GLASSMEN prior to the concert.  The cost for the event is $10 for adults and $5 for students, and includes admission to the afternoon activities at the fort.
