The GLASSMEN welcome Key Poulan!
Welcome Key Poulan!
The GLASSMEN are very pleased to announce the appointment of Key Poulan as the brass arranger and designer for the upcoming 2012 season!

Mr. Poulan is the owner, composer, arranger, and publisher of Key Poulan Music, and a graduate of East Texas State University with a degree in Music Education and composition. Key's involvement in the drum corps activity has been extensive, varied, and quite successful. Initially a performing member of the Blue Devils, Key has been affiliated with the Santa Clara Vanguard, The Cavaliers, Spirit of Atlanta, Mandarins, Magic of Orlando, Sky Ryders, Spartans, Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets, Genesis, Pride of the Lions (Canada), Millennium (Italy), Caballeros, Renegades, Bushwackers and the Mass Brass mini-corps.
"I am very excited about this new venture with the Glassmen! I have worked with many great designers over the years and am really excited about the future when it involves the creative likes of Sal Salas and Rob Ferguson! I am very honored to have been chosen and can't wait to roll up my sleeves and dig in!"
Key's music has produced champions in virtually every state and have included both Spring and Westfield High School's performances at the Bands of America Grand National Championships. Until Key decided to focus entirely on his music company in 2003, his love and passion for teaching included serving as a band director at Buchanan HS (Clovis, CA) from 1991-2003, Clovis HS (Clovis, CA) 1988-1991, Merced HS (Merced, CA) 1987-88, and Westfield HS (Houston, TX) from 1985-87. Key also served as a music adjudicator for Drum Corps International from 1990-2002.
Unfortunately Key will have limited touring availability this summer due to family medical commitments, but is known for his proactive approach to timelines, and his availability at a moment's notice.
"Key has done outstanding work in our activity, is a great musician and educator, and I am very excited about the possibilities for the young men and women of the corps", states Glassmen Director Brian Hickman, "expect some new and exciting things from the Glassmen in 2012."
Please watch for more information and announcements about the 2012 GLASSMEN in the coming weeks!
