The GLASSMEN have several options for those who wish to support the corps through financial or in-kind donations.

Annual Holiday Campaign

Give the gifts of the season! The Holiday Campaign is an annual program that raises funds for specific projects determined by the corps each year. Past projects have included the purchase of a new trailer for souvenirs, a water system for the rehearsal facility, heating equipment replacement and repairs, and campaigns for new horns and uniforms. 2011 was a very special year for the GLASSMEN as we celebrated 50 years of excellence and education.  Please consider giving a year end charitable contribution to the corps this season to help us kick off the next 50 years!

 

H&R Block Non-Profit Referral Program

The GLASSMEN have teamed up with H&R Block for a special fundraising program during the tax season. Through the H&R Block Non-Profit Referral Program, you can help the corps directly by having H&R Block prepare your taxes. It is as easy as four steps:

1. Go to a participating H&R Block office with the GLASSMEN Referral Coupon - click HERE to download
2. Give the coupon to your tax professional.
3. If you are new client, the GLASSMEN will receive $25.
4. Feel good knowing you helped the corps by just doing your taxes!

 

United Way Designation   

The GLASSMEN Drum & Bugle Corps is a qualified United Way charity.  By designating the corps as the recipient of your donations, a portion of your payroll deductions will go directly to the GLASSMEN Organization on a regular basis.  This is a great opportunity for everyone across the country to assist the young men and women of the present (and future) GLASSMEN with the normal contributions we make every year to the United Way.  This works either with traditional pledge cards, and also with the United eWay web based systems (which most businesses are moving to for their employees).

For the pledge card system all you have to do is designate to have all or part of your contributions directed to the GLASSMEN.  Just fill out, in the designation portion of the form, exactly as “Glassmen Jr. Drum and Bugle Corps, Toledo, Ohio”.

For the United eWay web based system just type in “Glassmen” in the organization name and “Toledo, OH” for the city and state and hit search.  Glassmen Jr. Drum & Bugle Corps will pop up for you to select.

By designating the GLASSMEN annually as the recipient of your donations, you can be assured that your United Way contributions are going directly to help support the young men and women of the corps.

 

In-Kind Donations

The GLASSMEN have a list available of items needed throughout the season. Besides the usual and constant need for all kinds of paper products, the corps usually has specific items in mind. The corps is always in need of various items during the Summer Tour.

GLASSMEN Booster Club

Get the benefits of Membership! The GLASSMEN Booster program is an annual campaign (October 1 - September 30) used to fund the corps both during the winter rehearsal months as well as the summer tour. Membership is set at specific giving levels to receive premium thank you gifts, however, donations can be made at any level and at any time throughout the year. Please contact the office directly for more information.

 

March-a-thon

This is a member-driven program held every spring as a way to offset member fees, and raise funds for equipment and uniform replacement.

 

Matching Gifts

Double the impact of your gift for the young people of the corps! Check with your employer to see if your donation to the GLASSMEN qualifies for a matching donation from your company or organization!

 

Stock Donations

In lieu of a cash donation, you can contribute through the sale of your stocks. Please call our office at 419-698-9775 for more information on how you can donate to the GLASSMEN in a variety of other ways.

 

What Else?

There are many other indirect ways to support the corps, including attending annual fundraisers such as the Celebrity Wait Gala, the All-Star Review and Summer Showcase Drum & Bugle Corps Competitions, the GLASSMEN Golf Classic, and purchasing items at our souvenir booth on the road. And don't forget the power of donating your time to the corps as a volunteer!
